Every scene has its originators, artists whose fingerprints are still all over the sound, even decades later. When two of them decide to team up for a full-length project in 2025, you pay attention. Tom Wax and Mijk van Dijk, both foundational figures in shaping the identity of German techno, are joining forces for a new collaborative album titled From XS To Eternity, landing this November on Phuture Wax.

Tom Wax, long associated with Frankfurt’s iconic Dorian Gray era and known globally through AWeX, stands as one of the defining voices of the city’s early techno pulse. At the same time, Mijk van Dijk helped carve out the Berlin sound, contributing landmark moments such as Marmion’s “Schöneberg”, a track woven into the DNA of countless club nights.

Their connection goes back more than 30 years. But instead of revisiting old formulas, the two artists stepped into the studio this year with the mindset of creating something fresh. The result: 13 brand-new tracks that avoid any retro aftertaste. No nostalgia trip, just forward-driving, high-impact techno with the unmistakable intuition that comes from decades behind the machines.

The album hits like a reminder that experience doesn’t have to mean repetition. From XS To Eternity feels alive, energetic and fully rooted in the present moment. It’s techno built with the confidence of two artists who don’t follow trends, they set them.

This is a record meant to be played loud, felt deeply, and experienced on a proper soundsystem. A project that captures the heart of the culture while pointing boldly toward its future.
