Billen Ted, the acclaimed production and songwriting duo, raise temperatures with their latest dance anthem ‘Feel The Burn’ (ft. Kah-Lo), out this Friday 28th July on Black Butter Records.
Known for their huge club hits, Billen Ted deliver once again with an addictive topline vocal melody that hooks from the first note, and lyrics that riff on a workout session. “Go hard / I wanna see the heart racing” goes the suggestive vocal, while the production peppers an irresistible groove with snare stabs and synth pads. Arriving in the heat of summer, ‘Feel The Burn’ is another standout addition to Billen Ted’s impressive discography, which already includes a UK #1 hit and a BRIT nomination.
Billen Ted are a London-based production and songwriting duo formed by Tom Hollings and Sam Brennan. Besides their work as accomplished hitmakers, they have also handled production duties for artists like 220 Kid, Becky Hill, MNEK, LANY, Rain Radio, RAYE, S1mba, Melanie C, and Gracey. After a brief stint playing in death metal bands, the pair made an unlikely transition into the world of dance and pop music with their debut single ‘Satisfied’ (2020), which was built around a sample of Chaka Khan’s ‘I Feel for You’ and notched up over a million plays on streaming platforms. In 2021, Billen Ted collaborated with singers Gracey (‘Got You Covered’) and Mae Muller (‘When You’re Out’), and reached the top of both the UK Singles Chart and the UK Dance Chart with a remix of Nathan Evans’ viral hit ‘Wellerman’, originally a sea shanty from New Zealand. The remix also earned them a BRIT Awards nomination in the category of Best British Single. 2023 has been a busy year for the duo, with smash singles including ‘Blessings’ with Punctual and ‘Do U Want Me?’ with Joel Corry, Elphi and Sam Ryder, as well as remix work for Rudimental, Allesandra and Tai’Aysha.
Nigerian born, now Brooklyn based artist Kah-Lo first emerged on the scene in 2016 appearing on Riton’s ‘Rinse & Repeat’, which earned them a Grammy nomination for ‘Best Dance Recording’. In 2017, Kah-Lo dropped her debut solo single ‘Fasta’, following up with ‘Fake I.D.’ in 2018, which became the lead song for the U.S. arrival of TikTok. Her fierce persona as a solo artist continued to shine through with her debut EP ‘The Arrival’, which saw its lead single ‘Commandments’ included on the FIFA 2022 Soundtrack. Kah-Lo is currently preparing to release her album ‘Pleasure / Pain’ this September 2023.
Continuing their upward trajectory, ‘Feel The Burn’ is set to be another fan favourite for the London duo. Billen Ted are soundtracking the summer.
